Hugh Thomas (Tommy) Loftis
Campobello, SC

Hugh T.  "Tommy" Loftis, 9885 New Cut Road, Campobello, SC died Sept. 30, 2015 following a long battle with cancer.  Mr. Loftis was the son of G.P. and Hallie (Jackie) Loftis.

A lifelong member of Motlow Creek Baptist Church, he was an ordained deacon, served on the building and grounds cemetery committee, choir member and a member of Motlow Creek Singers.

Tommy was employed at Butte Knitting Mills, Spartanburg Dodge and  Jim Smith and Associates Realtors from 1996 until his death.   He served in the National Guard for fifteen years.

Mr. Loftis is survived by his beloved wife, Becky Gilbert Loftis, four children:  sons Michael Loftis  (Rhonda), Jason Loftis (Ann) of Campobello, SC and daughters Sheryl  Honeycutt (Rob) of Greenville, SC and Robin Crump (Tim) of  Charleston, SC.;  his sister Nancy Cooper of Atlanta, GA, 13 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and one aunt, Ann Loftis of Greenville SC.

The family will receive friends at Motlow Creek Baptist Church Campobello, SC Saturday, October 3, 2015 from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The Memorial services will be at the church at 4:00 PM, with interment immediately following in the church cemetery.   Dr. Lester L Cooper and Pastor Terry Rainey will officiate the services.

In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Spartanburg Regional Hospice, 120 Heywood Avenue, Suite 300, Spartanburg, SC  29302.
