Thomas Edward Hendricks

Thomas Edward Hendricks, of Wellford, was born October 20, 1954 in Easley, SC and passed away September 16, 2016.  He was the son of the late Estelle Looper Hendricks and Gordon Dewey Hendricks.                                                                             

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Candyce H. Rivers Hendricks. Daughters; Leslie Pearson and Amanda Morgan. Three grandchildren; Amelia and Sara Jo Pearson and Adalyn Robinson.   Two loving sisters; Rita Simpson (Tim) and Bethel Phillips (Bobby).  Three nephews and a niece; Jason, Scott, Michael and Jennifer, who were always a sidekick in his life.

He attended Second Presbyterian Church. He graduated from Easley High School and Greenville Tech.  Music was his passion along with his friends who shared it with him, Steve, Sammy, Eddie and Tim.  A dependable employee, Tom enjoyed his purchasing position with The Cliffs, Fatz Cafe and Copper River. Tom loved his boat and a good cigar sitting in the Little River Neck Inlet fishing.  If you met him, he would quickly tell you, “I am from Dacusville and I’m of Indian descent".

He loved his family history from Pickens County.  He will truly be missed, but making music with the lord upstairs!  Picking and grinning!

Memorials may be made to the Spartanburg Humane Society in honor of Baxter, Tom’s best friend.
 
Visitation at 2:00pm and celebration of life at 3:00pm Sunday, September 25, 2016 at Second Presbyterian Church, Spartanburg.
