Sylda Tinsley (Kimbrell) Settle

Sylda Tinsley Settle, 92, of Inman passed away November 26, 2015 at Summit Hills.  She was a lifetime resident of Spartanburg County, the daughter of the late Henry Buford and Sarah Ballew Kimbrell and wife of the late Jerry Settle and first married to the late Ikie Tinsley.

She was a faithful & loving member of Inman First Baptist Church, an avid gardener, retired from Butte Knitt in Spartanburg and loved her family and friends.

She is survived by three daughters, Diane Bristol of Spartanburg, Sharon Tinsley of Greenville, Judith Tinsley Jacobs (Al) of Charlotte; a brother, Sam Kimbrell of Hendersonville; a sister, Helen Foster of Chicago; five grandchildren, Kim Roberts, Lee Bristol, Jason Jacobs, Ryan LeGrand, Jessica Stultz and seven great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two brothers, James Kimbrell and Bud Kimbrell.     

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm Saturday, November 28, 2015 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Inman First Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Paul Moore. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
