Norbert Collins

Norbert Loy Collins, age 84, passed away January 28, 2018.  He was the son of the late Dever and Lenora Collins; and the husband of Ruth Ell Clayton Collins for 62 years.

He was an active member of Landrum First Baptist Church, and Foothills Parkinson's Support Group.  He served in Korea with the 8th U.S. Army Honor Guard.

He is survived by son Joey and his wife Tammy Collins; daughter Julie and her husband Chris Recknor; grandson Ryan and wife Samantha Collins, grandson Jake and wife Logan and great-granddaugher Teagan Collins;  granddaugher Courtney and husband Justin Carpenter, granddaughter Cassidy Israel;  brothers Brian, Zeddie, Waymon, and Larry Collins; and 8 nephews and 7 nieces. 

He was preceded in death by 6 siblings, Quentin, Glenn, Allen, Yvonne and Hoyt Collins, and Jamie Burns.

The family will receive friends at First Baptist Church of Landrum on Wednesday, January 31, at 2:30 with a memorial service to follow at 4:00.
