Michael Ray Thompson

Michael Ray Thompson, 53, of Gowensville died July 10 2016 at his home.  He was the son of Rev. J. Harold and Patricia Wilson Thompson and the husband of Linda Raines Thompson.
 
 He was a mechanic at G&P Trucking Company and a member of First Baptist Church of Gowensville.  The two things he loved the most was, spending time with his family and working on old cars.

In addition to his wife he was survived by a son, Robert "Robbie" Thompson and his wife, Asilynn; a daughter, Melissa Thompson; three brothers, Timothy Dwayne Thompson, Christopher Jon Thompson, Benjamin Jance Thompson and one grandson, Michael Elijah Thompson.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00am, Friday, July 15, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Gowensville conducted by Rev. Bruce Schmidt and Rev. Caleb Bruce.  Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Gowensville, 5650 North Highway 14, Landrum, SC  29356.

The family is at the home of a friend, Karen Branyon.
