Maxie Neal Foster

Maxie Neal Foster, 89, of Tryon passed away on January 22, 2018.  He was the son of the late General "Major" and Macie Durham Foster and husband of the late Mary Culbreth Foster.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Tryon and retired from Prima Knit.   He served in the US Army and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by two brothers, James and Louie Foster.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00pm Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Jeffery C. Harris.

Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens.
