Max Dolder, 87, of Wellford, SC and formerly of Hendersonville, NC passed away on February 9, 2017.  He was the son of the late Friedrich and Marie Dolder-Frei. Born in Switzerland, he was proud to become an American citizen.  Max was the loving husband of Trudi Dolder for almost 60 years.  He was the father, father-in-law, and grandfather of Esther Dolder and John Adderholdt with Isaac and Isaiah, Tabea and Kenny Davenport with Aaron and Rebecca, and Maria and Steve (deceased) Cobb with Caleb and Danielle.  He was also a special uncle to many nieces and nephews.

He was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church of Greer and was retired from North American Phillips Consumer Electronics.  He loved his family and the outdoors, woodworking, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.

A celebration of Life service will be held at Memorial United Methodist Church, 201 North Main Street, Greer, SC on Saturday, February 18, 2017. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lutheran Hospice, 429 North Main Street, Suite 3, Greenville, SC  29601, and the Alzheimer's Association, 901 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC  29302.
