Manning Lee Williams, 79, of Campobello passed away Monday, February 27, 2017 following a brief illness.  He was the son of the late Mathel Plumley and Homer Williams and husband of Eleanor Jean Campbell Williams.

He was a life-long farmer and operated a dairy in Campobello for more than thirty years.  He was a member of Fairview Baptist Church in Landrum through-out his life. Following his retirement he grew enough vegetables for the whole community and will be missed by his family and many friends, particularly his constant companion, Lucky.

In addition to his wife he was survived by,  a daughter, Tammy Lee Williams Moorer (Robert) of Bowman, SC; a son, Nathan Williams (Kim); a grand-daughter, Caroline "Callie" Campbell Moorer and a grandson Dylan Twichell.  Brothers include Hugh "Buddy" Williams (Juanita) and Mike Williams (Susan).

The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, March 1, 2017 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral service will be held 11:00am Thursday, March 2, 2017 at Petty Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. James T. Brewton and Rev. Chuck Mullinax.  Burial will follow at Redeemed International Baptist Church Cemetery in Landrum.
