Joseph P Easler

Joseph P. Easler, 83, of Campobello passed away on January 18, 2016.  He was the son of the late George Marvin and Ruth Nodine Easler.

He was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.  He retired from the US Army after 23 years as a Staff Sergeant. He was in both the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War.  While serving in the Army, he earned many medals including the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.

He is survived by a son, Norman Easler(Sabine);  a granddaughter, Kim Easler; a brother, Paul Easler; two sisters, Lizzie DeYoung and Floy Jones; a special great niece, Kodi DeYoung; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 7:00-8:00 at Petty Funeral Home.

Funeral  services will be held Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 3:00pm at Holly Springs Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Tim Clark.  Burial will be in the church cemetery.
