Jimmy Ayllon Horton, 60, of Landrum passed away on January 25, 2016.  He was the son of Gladys Strange Horton and the late Ayllon Grayson Horton.

He was a self-employed mason and owner of Horton Bros. Masonry, a company founded with his brother, Ronnie Horton.

He is survived by his mother, Gladys Horton; a son, Matthew Ayllon Horton; a brother, David Horton; three sisters, Linda Shumpert, Glenda Whiteside and Betty Ann Teague; and a grandson, Braxton Case Woody.

He was predeceased by his brother, Ronnie Horton.

He was a highly sought after mason, a loving father, brother, and son.  Known as well for his kindness as his speed, earning him the nickname, Lightnin'.  He will be greatly missed.

Private family services were held.
