James H. "Jim" King, Jr.

James H. "Jim" King, Jr., of Campobello, died March 3, 2013, at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center. A native of Mount Pleasant, S.C., he was the son of the late Mary Eugenie Auld King Marshall and husband of Hetty Duff King.
He was a veteran of the S.C. Army National Guard, a former detective with the Greenville County Sheriff's Office, a South Carolina State Constable and the founder and proprietor of Leaf 'n' Match Ltd. tobacco shop in Greenville, which he ran with his family for more than 40 years. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Cross in Tryon.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Joanne Ashley King of Campobello, and a son, James H. "Jay" King, III (Carol) of Campobello, and a beloved grandson, Isaac Dennis Auld King.
The family will receive friends from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7, 2013, at Petty Funeral Home in Landrum. A memorial service will follow at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.
