Jackie Newman

Jackie A. Newman, 77, of Inman passed away on July 31, 2016.  He was the son of the late W.A. and Ida Cora Evington Newman.

He was retired from Mountain View Nursing Home, was a member of First Baptist Church of Campobello and served in the US Army.

He is survived by his wife, Karan Edwards; four sons, Kevin Edwards of Inman, Kenny Edwards of Inman, Kelly Newman of Inman and Kelvin Newman of Gaffney; a brother, Jerry Newman of Inman; two sisters, Dolly Mosley of Campobello and Sandra Rutherford of Lyman; seven grandchildren and 1 great grandchild.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Bobby and Ricky Newman.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Petty Funeral Home from 1:00-2:00pm.  Funeral services will follow at 2:00pm at the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Henry Coley.  Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
