Harold "Mac" Vaughn Magaha, 83, of Landrum passed away January 21, 2010. He was the son of the late John Herman and Gertrude Vaughn Magaha and husband of Rita Phillips Magaha. He was retired and was an active member of the Piedmont Paso Fino Horse Association for 30 years. He served in the US Army

In addition to his wife, he is survived by five sons, Tom Magaha of Campobello, Steve Magaha of St. Louis, Richard Magaha of Anderson, Capt. John Owens of the US Army stationed in Italy and Michael Owens of Landrum; a daughter, Jan Salley of Ladson; 11 grandchildren and a great grandson.

He was predeceased by a sister, Sybil Tribble.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-4:00pm Sunday, January 24, 2010 at Petty Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 4:00pm in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery, Columbia, SC on Monday.
