Fannie Belle "Ma" Ayers

Fannie Belle "Ma" Lewis Ayers, 85, of 332 S. Howard St., died December 29, 2012.  She was daughter of the late Joseph and Fannie Belle Easler Lewis and widow of James Paul Ayers.

She was a member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church and  co-owner of Ayers & Son Market.

She is survived by a son, Paul Ayers of Landrum; three daughters, Linda Ormand of Landrum, Teresa Underwood of Lyman and Carolyn Wood of Campobello; four brothers, Milon Lewis, Frances M. "Dit" Lewis, and Mack Lewis all of Campobello and  Howard "Rass" Lewis of Spartanburg; a sister, Betty Tyler of Campobello; six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and a great great grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00pm Monday, December 31, 2012 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, January 1, 2013 at Petty Funeral Chapel conducted by Rev. Jimmy Camp and Rev. David Eubanks.  Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 130 Forest Glen Drive, Columbus, NC  28722.

The family is at the home.
