Carroll Varner

Carroll Varner passed away peacefully at home on Monday, May 9, 2016 after a lengthy illness.  Born on August 12, 1930, he was the son of the late Otis and Ola Jackson Varner. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Helen Sawyer Varner.  He is also survived by a daughter, Valerie Tinsley (Johnny) and son Phillip Varner; grandchildren Megan Souther (Brandon), Justin Collins (Courtney), Heather Moss (Josh) and Kristin Varner (Joey); and nine great grandchildren.  He is also survived by a sister, Elizabeth McDowell.

He was predeceased by a sister, Alice Varner.  He was a longstanding member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church of Campobello.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 3:30pm at Walnut Hill Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Scott Lewellen, Rev. Odell Moseley and Rev. Gary Hensley.  The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2:00-3:15pm.

The family would like to thank Emma Jackson and Spartanburg Regional Hospice for the care and support given over the past 6 months.
