Carrol Jones

Carrol Reid Jones of Tryon, NC passed away peacefully on February 5 at White Oak Manor.  Born in 1931, he was a life-long member and former deacon of First Baptist Church Gowensville.  In 1955 he began a 40 year career with Kohler Company-Spartanburg as a ceramics engineer, and upon retirement worked periodically as a Kohler consultant in Brownwood, Texas.  In addition, he enjoyed serving as a starter at Links 'O Tryon golf club where he became a member at its inception.

Predeceased by his wife Hilda Crain Jones, he is survived by a daughter Donna Brock and her husband Bill of Morgan Chapel Village, Columbus, NC.  Burial will be private and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
