Betty Lou Henson

Betty Lou Smith Henson, 83, of Inman passed away peacefully at her home on July 23, 2016.  She was the daughter of the late Dolphus and Minnie Shields Smith and wife of L.C. Henson.

She retired from Abbott Laboratories.

She is survived by the love of her life for 61 years, L.C. Henson; two daughters, Karen McCutcheon and Denise Farrell; a brother Albert Smith; three grandchildren Mysti McCutcheon, Jessica Caldwell and Savannah Farrell; five great grandchildren, Clayton, Jasper, Makenzy, Salem and Arrow.

She was predeceased by three sisters, Jessie Coley, Margie Lewis and Doris Coley and a brother, Roy Smith.

The family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00pm Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services will follow at 3:00pm in the funeral home chapel conducted by Rev. Odell Mosley and Rev. Henry Coley.  Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
