Betty (Lewis) Tyler

Betty Lewis Tyler, 85,  passed away on November 28, 2016 at  Hospice House of the Carolina Foothills.  She was the widow of Brownlow W. Tyler.  They shared 43 years together.

Born in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Fannie Easler Lewis and  was self-employed seamstress for over 40 years.

She was a lifetime member of Walnut Hill Baptist Church and will be remembered for her love of gardening, cooking, sewing, her caring heart and love of Jesus.

Surviving are three children, Gloria King (Benny) of Lyman, SC; Danny Tyler of Campobello, SC and Timothy Tyler (Bradley) of Inman, SC; three grandchildren, Amanda Lawless, Brenton King and Amie Brown, two great grandchildren, Chase and Alexis Brown; two brothers, Mack Lewis of Campobello, SC and Howard Lewis, Spartanburg, SC. She was predeceased by four brothers and three sisters. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Petty Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm Thursday December 1, 2016 at Walnut Hill Baptist Church in Campobello, SC.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will be at 103 Dorset Way, Lyman, SC.

Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Hospice of the Carolina Foothills, 260 Fairwinds Drive, Landrum, SC  29356.
